          What better way to end a great season than with family and friends you ask? ]            Goldenrod Bassmasters 48th annual Awards Banquet celebrated its Angler of the year awards highlighting the many achievements and contributions by its members.  Roy Hurst was crowned 2025 Angler of the year nearly eclipsing the century mark in total weight. Hurst solidified his championship with back to back crowns and pushed his legendary status closer to hall of famer. 

             The atmosphere was energetic and elegant as awards were presented by none other than " Goldenrod's Master of Ceremonies" Mr. Matthew Hurst.  Awards were presented  to Mr. Lee McClendon Sr, Arthur Hall, Lee McClendon Jr., Nick Smoke, Louis Summerville, Eldick Laws, Jackie Price, Steven Turner, Vincent Medlock, Darryl Witherspoon, Richard Johnson, and Eddie L. Hill.  Top 6 (six) award winners were Ron Miller Alex Pruitt, Ron Douglas, Anthony Mostella, Matthew Hurst and Roy Hurst. Ron Douglas was awarded the Goldenrod Service Award for his 20 years of service to the club.

      Fun also permeated the evening with giveaways and trivia ( How Well Do You Know your Spouse). Contestants took home fabulous prizes from throw blankets to fishing rods.
