Columbiana, Alabama-Beeswax Boat Ramp

             The "thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" are lyrics from a  popular program many sports  enthusiast can relate to when competitors go head to head in any given arena. The song lyrics continues with " the human drama" of athletic competition" . Those words never more true than at the ninth installment of Goldenrod Bassmasters tour held on Lay Lake. This derby determined  seating heading into the finale at Lake Wilson with one through sixth place all vying for the championship cup. Its go time! 

            The human drama began with guys bringing double digit sacks to the scales. Anthony Mostella started things off with a five fish limit weighing 10.02  pounds. Alex Pruitt , Ron Douglas, and  Ron Miller set the leaderboard ablaze with impressive five fish double digit limits. As the leaderboard smoldered, Roy Hurst extinguished all hope and took control with a five fish limit weighing 14.06 pounds including a 4.01 kicker taking 1st place. The final results were:
